I’ve been trying to hone my green thumb every since moving to Long Beach in 2006. The only thing growing when we got there was a really awful, viney weed that substituted for grass. I set about digging up a narrow plot next to the sidewalk, and the rest is history. I don’t live in Long Beach anymore, but I still enjoy growing stuff.
