When Dollhouse misfires, this is how it does it: fascinating philosophical and moral questions tossed between the type of storyline we’ve seen a thousand times before. But at least Paul Ballard remains a wonderfully tragic character.

I found the episode entertaining enough. I wish there was more to discuss about it. I have been considering some other ideas about the series however.

We simply do not treat DUI as the crime it is — either in our minds or within the law. We can’t flip a switch and change the wiring in everyone’s brain, but we can change the law.

This was easily, without question, the best episode of the series so far, and revealed a tremendous richness in the premise that wasn’t immediately apparent from the stand-alone episodes that aired back in February.

Once I started working on Scrivida, I essentially abandoned this website.  I’m still not sure exactly what I’ll want to use it for, but I think it makes most sense as a kind of blog.  Rather than do a complete, ambitious PHP redesign, however, I decided to just suck it up and install Wordpress.
